Registration

Registering for the Course. Advanced Data Modeling/Database Design, 2017 spring, Univ. of MN, Carlson School Of Management (CSOM), course ID: IDSc 4431, course #54504)

If you want to enroll in a class, but are not admitted into a degree program at the University of Minnesota, you may enroll as a non-degree-seeking student (guest). https://onestop.umn.edu/academics/take-class-non-degreeguest-student contains the following four steps to register:

Step 1: Activate your student record for registration

Before you can register for a class, you must activate your student record (link to online form). Once you've been activated, you will receive a confirmation, with a University student ID number (seven digits), and an Internet ID. The Internet ID is the user name for your University email address which is used for all communication with you.

Step 2: Initiate your Internet ID.

Your Internet ID, which is different than your student ID number, gives you access to the University’s online systems, including University email and the student portal, MyU.

Step 3: Log in to MyU portal.

After you initiate your Internet ID, log in to MyU. There you can update your personal information, register for classes, verify the details of your registration, pay your bill, see your grades, and get transcripts. Make sure that your personal information is up to date so that you do not miss out on mail or email from the University.

Step 4: Register for a class.

Go to: MyU.umn.edu, log in with your Internet ID, and click through the path: > Academics tab > Registration > Register (default spring term) > Add class > enter course # 54504 > add to cart
